There isn't much that concerns me more than the health of my four little dogs ages 10 down to 4. I read whatever is out there, I talk to vets, I surf the Internet constantly seeing what others feed their dogs. It seems to be SO confusing. Of course every dog food business thinks their food is the best and it's not true at all. This book has a world of information. The author has done her homework. There are pros and cons to home-prepared diets, and the author doesn't add any "fluff" as to which one is better. She provides honest and truthful information on raw, cooked and combination (blend of raw and cooked) diets. This is very helpful for those of us who are trying to decide which is better for their situation and pet's needs. I always get my vet's opinion but find they aren't as up to date as you might think they should be. They want you to buy the brands they sell. I understand that, but it seems in the past, my dogs disliked
the science brands. I call the kibble "cardboard balls". LOL

Great info in an organized, understandable way. It gave me the tools and courage to try creating a homemade diet for my dog.
