If you are reading this review, you probably have an interest or lookong for a good historical fiction manga about samurais and duels. Shigurui has lots of it and more than that. Five volumes in, the Shigurui proves to be violent, full of guts (literally) and death.
The story arc is a typical revenge story, something that you have heard a million times before, but the way it was executed, the the story unfolds in an interesting manner, Shigurui deserves to be read by those who wanted some guilty pleasure fun and violence.
Boy, it sure helps that the story isn't chronological. You know that thing with the Kogan disciples veing illed? Yeah, let's put it off for a while. The author has another story in mind.
