The main characters are Deacon (LDS soldier), Gunderson (Staff Sergeant) , Gould (medic), Kendrick (private), and Winley (British pilot). Their soldiers who fought World war 2 and are behind ememy lines. They now face to survive the outdoors and find the Allies and give the plans of Hitler retaking Europe. Drama between each soldier's life and have death before them. I like Deacon because he has a friend who is a LDS but a Nazi ( I call the warrior LDS Nazi).

I had a personal experience similar to this. When Kyle (my cousin) was a friend at the other team when we have battles all the time. I want to go on my mission but not be in a war with a friend from the other team.

I will use this book probably on my mission. I like it alot and seen the movie. Think the book is better.

If you like part fiction and non-fiction ( because of event) this is a good book for you then. P.S. there is a new movie call Saints and soldiers: Airbrone creed.

Super interesting story about these soldiers. But I had trouble following along. The author kept using different names for the same character mid paragraphs. Scenes jumped very quickly mid chapter. Maybe it's because the book is based off the movie?

It was a little difficult to sort the several different parts of the story at first. But the ending was compelling reading, and gave me a better appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of our military personnel.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story, There's maybe a little too much detail, but the story, itself kept me reading to the end.

It was actually pretty good for a book based off a movie. The editing wasn't great. There were lots of typos throughout the book. But the story made up for the typos.

I loved the movie, not so much the book. Compelling story, and as they say, "Ward is He_ _."
