That night I thought I was finally safe. And I was, but only until dawn. That's when I learned the rest of the story which by no chance could have a happy ending. But it didn't mean I wouldn't try to change that.
Well talk about a truth bomb that hurts and what the fuck are you thinking girl. I need the next book after the way this one ending. I love them together and all the guys are just so much fun but her mom is on my shit list.
I enjoyed reading the first book of this series. And was so happy to read this latest book two. The story is so good! There’s a Huge surprise about Spencer’s past… I wasn’t expecting it at all. What a twist. So much has happened as well. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this story! I look forward to more action and more suspense I’m sure. This story really has it all!
I’m also secretly shipping Alister & Clare haha! Sure Spencer & Finn are totally end game and meant for each other but I’m so rooting for Alister too… He and Clare would make such a good couple too in my opinion.
The cliffhanger made me think it might actually be a better book than it turned out to be. I was sorely disappointed by the run from your fated mate. The highlight was finding Daddy dearest. Other than that, it was dull as ditch water. Sorry but the constant run, eat and sex was boring.
Book two don't want to give spoilers so you might only understand this if you have read book two.first thank God not multiple mates but is a love triangle but not really Spencer is happy with Finn and loyal so not thinkal but Erin is her mate and wants her meaning love triangle. But she doesn't like the guy he is too full of himself so good. But I'm not a fan of leading him on yes meet him so you can reject him and get close to dad to wammy him to do what's needed. I'm still hoping for Finn to be her true mate (couldn't she have two possibles, the wolf mate and the magic mate? Depends who she mates the other bond disparate),
For me I'm not a fan of books that focuses on one couple for all the books, I would of liked HE A with Finn in book one and then they as a pack rush to save hybrids and each book gets a love interest as the pack grows and banter is fun.magic on Finns land with help from Spencer and Finn could keep the place safe.
This does feel a little dragged out and poor Finn gets a slap in the face.a great subject storyline but authors choice made it only three books because it's focussed on Spencer and Eric really,of course Finn to but he doesn't really get a say after he saved her life.
In this book they finally tell Spencer about her destiny. She is supposed to become a high priestess & the second female alpha. They find out in order for her to come into her full powers she has to go get them at the last female alpha/high priestess' Temple. In order to locate it she needs a scroll. She also needs to destroy a compass that will lead everyone to her if she doesn't locate it by the next full moon. To keep Eric away from Spencer they have two of them drive to a pack in Chicago with Spencers cell phone. That gives them time to teach Spencer some fighting skills. They locate the objects & then have to sneak into a large packs alpha house to find & retrieve them. The who thing goes terribly wrong. They make it out but without the objects. They then have to go to Eric's pack because the relics are transferred there. Once again their plans go wrong. Someone gets hurt. In the end Spencer has to do the unthinkable & sneak out to join the enemy pack to save everyone. At least in her mind.
Book two in Lana’s Forged By Fate series it certainly was a fun read. It is a young adult but there was some steam but nothing to explicit. It definitely grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Spencer’s life continues to be turned upside down as so much is thrown at her. This was a well written story that kept me entertained and turning the page to see what happened next. Easy to read and loved the characters and the story line. The way it ends just left me looking forward to the next book as I need to know what happens.
Im reviewing all three books in the trilogy. The storyline is well thoughtout and delivered, although the ending was rushed which was ashame. I didnt get bored of the story or the characters. The main characters were likeable and this isnt a reverse haram which I hate. The FMC stays true to the one she fell in love with from beginning to end. It was ashame the epilogue wasnt about them but it was a twist. Also not sure on the mate issue it was a bit wishy washy but on the whole it was a good read. Highly recommended.
I barely got through that book. It's like watching a slow drama with not enough action. I like to be on the edge of my seat. My heart racing, seeing what happens next. I didn't get any of that. I kept thinking, hurry up and get to the action. I also like a lot of tug and pull when it comes to mates or such. I like possessiveness. The MC and Finn just went together too fast and too easy.
What I do like is the story. It's a good one and also that there is no segs described in the book, which I love.
Generally a well told story. But economic issue: Kindle price 4.95 novels are almost always over 300 pages, these are under 200, so not a good value. Logical issue from volume one: The MC's mother knew they were under death sentence and so hid them away. Why did she choose to stay within 400 miles of the main threats that resided in Tallahassee, Ashville and Tennessee? The logical thing to do when the prime threats were in those 3 locations would have been to relocate to the Pacific Northwest or another country.
Another fun, entertaining story! Spenser survived! Unfortunately, there are still those that don’t want goods things for her. Spenser and her group must find a secret magical temple to fully allow Spenser to realize her abilities. Enjoyed the action and dash of danger! Spenser is a tough lady! Interesting hybrid stuff too. There’s also a bit of a problem with some mate business. The romance is a sweet one! Good connection going on there! Overall, this story drew me in and I’m excited for more!
I am loving this series. Spencer is a rare breed. Half witch, half wolf. Usually females don't survive their first shift. By some miracle, she did. Now they need to find the magic scroll and compass to find the Great Alpha Temple to get her powers. This is a great series. Fast paced. Lots of action. Read in one day. The author keeps you intrigued throughout.
I received an ARC for this book. Spencer survived but now comes the hard part. She learns everything that comes with being the Heir to the great alpha is going to be a challenge. Along with that challenge, she has to deal with her fated mate. Finn wants to protect her, but she has to protect everyone else too. She really grows in this book.
Getting better! 😍 OMG, I'm so in love with this series!, the story just gets better with each book! 😍 Surviving the shift was the hardest part, right?... nope, that was just the beginning, the real challenge starts now... Will they make it? 😳🙈 How I love Spencer and Finn together!!! 🤗🥰... and now I'm waiting for something to happen between Clara and Alistair! 💕 The next book can't come soon enough!!! ❤️
This was a pretty quick read to finish up the second book. She decides to go see what her fated mate is like and to steal the items necessary to find the temple to gain her powers. She was a little frustrating but a lot of that was because of her lack of knowledge. It would have helped if her mom told her but I get why she didn’t.
Adult content, reader discretion advised. Desperate people do desperate things. Breaking into a heavily guarded community should fall under the category of desperate. Spencer and her motley crew have very little time to steal two magical objects. Fail? They all die. Success is the only option.
The premis for this story kept me interested enough to read book 2, even though book 1 was not all that great. Book 2 started off good, but fell off a cliff as it got closer to the end. I disliked all the characters at that point. No more for me.
