Read on recommendation: I'm more and more curious about feminism bumping against and affecting much needed change in patriarchal institutions and structures.

Hayward's construct of "mutual relation" is helpful, true, positive.

Also: yesterday, I was part of a community of (white) citizens who persuaded an all-white and conservative City Council to take action on a polling location (private business) that hangs a racist sign and refuses to take down the sign or even cover it up on election day. At yesterday's City Council meeting, the citizens moved the Council from "This sign is wrong and we will set up a committee to study all polling stations” to, “We will move this polling station by combining it with another by November’s election.”

Communities in "mutual relation" can do the right thing for more and more of its community.
