Misty is back, and she’s primed for more erotic adventure with her well-heeled clientsAfter enjoying a brief but sultry respite in Argentina with her best friend Gabriella, Misty—the high-price personal trainer with a unique, controversial clause in her contract—embarks to the United States to meet her next trainee. What she finds under the hot Texas sun shocks and captivates her, and she ends up caught in a wrenching dilemma that causes her to choose between love and career. As she sorts out her feelings for an intriguingly handsome cowboy and his conniving, cowardly employer, Misty’s sexual appetite and lust for adventure take her from honky-tonks to bustling Copacabana Beach festivals—and land her in the cross-hairs of a scheming DC politician hell-bent on taking down an opponent in an upcoming election.Captured Prey is populated with a new set of impossible-to-forget characters, plus some key favorites from the first book. As always, Misty’s blend of wiliness, sensuality, and wide-eyed innocence helps her charm everyone she meets. Surprises await at every turn in this seductive, action-packed follow-up.

Steven Craig Odanovich grew up in Flour Bluff, Texas, only minutesfrom the beaches of Padre Island. His creative roots are firmly grounded in the muscle car culture of the seventies. As a young music business entrepreneur, Odanovich launched a successful record store at a time when neighborhood record stores were still a prime point of connection between popular music and the public. His genuine affinity for the music and the fans helped Craig's Record Factory build huge customer loyalty, keeping regional and national competition at bay.

Rising to the executive level in the video and home entertainment division of H-E-B, a regional grocery and retail chain, Odanovich led growth for the company in an emerging market space. Later, applying his leadership abilities and insight to other highly competitive business arenas, he built value and increased market share for each of the companies he subsequently served, both in executive posts and as a key consultant.

Through his many stages of career evolution, Odanovich has maintained a constant interest in popular music and film. Three decades of avidly collecting music and seeing movies has provided a wellspring of inspiration for the author. Odanovich currently pursues his writing career in San Antonio, Texas. He and his wife Cathie have four children.

Misty is a world class trainer, dedicated to one client at a time, she guarantees to get your body in shape and then some. Living in Argentina with her best friend Gabriella, Misty and her personal bodyguard Miguel take off to Texas on what seems like just another job. For Misty, there is no such thing as just another job. In Texas she will meet all sorts of different folks, make some new friends then move on to another job in D.C. Things go downhill for Misty from there. Misty and her co-horts navigate the shark infested waters of D.C. politics and along the way, have a fine time.

What a fun read this was. Misty, bless her heart, just can't seem to keep herself out of trouble. You ask me, her chosen profession might have something to do with it. Misty herself is a strong, confident woman, who at times is venerable and at times a she cat. The fun is never knowing which side of her character is going to show up. The supporting cast of characters all have great personalities of their own and adds just the right touch to keep the story in line.

There is more than a little bedroom (or gym, or movie theater) play in the book. All are well written and in keeping with the story line. I had my doubts that a man could write a bedroom scene but Mr. Odanovich does a mighty fine job of it. The blurb says you don't need to read the first book, technically you don't. I didn't and I have to admit I think I might have been able to follow the story a big better had I known the back-story. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, can't wait to see what trouble Misty manages to get into. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a rollicking good time, in and out of the bed.

This was a well written book. Great plotline and my fav character makes it back in the story!! Go Ivan...I got a soft spot for him for many reasons:-) cant tell ya, it's a secret. LMAO
I absolutely loved the political twists and turns and yep folks...this is exactly how it is in the political arena. Blood thirsty little buggers, aint they? so this book rates 4 stars from me. I took a half a star off for not knowing what the heck it was Ivan showed Molly to get that Be--yotch to back off. I like being in on the secret...:-) and another half star off for certain words and phrases ...just here and there ...that really made me stop and go ...what? But the plot was thickening...along with other things and I had to keep going ...so four stars for writing a real good suspense with nice little twists and surprises that kept me, as a reader, a happy camper!
Will be waiting, impatiantly, for book three....I hope my sweety Ivan makes it back in the background or foreground! Go Ivan!

I graciously received this book through the giveaway at first reads.

This was a decent book. You could tell it was written by a man because the focus was more on the main character's (a woman) body than her lovers who were male. I like male authors because things are straight to the point and the plot moves along nicely. I'm not a fan of fillers like 'the roses were in bloom and I could see the dew drops gently floating off the petals. Their fragrance filled my nostrils while I heard birds chirping in the background.'

This book is not a romance novel. Nobody falls in love and lives happily ever after, so don't read this if you're looking for that. This also isn't a mystery because we always know who is doing what and when. I guess this book is pretty much about some female who gets herself in trouble because she's a high-end prostitute.

Like I said, it wasn't a bad book and an easy read. So if you're looking for a summer read that isn't going to require a lot of thought and attention than I would recommend this.

Wow, Misty did it this time!! Not only were there unresolved relationship issues from the first book but she creates and falls into some in this book. I really liked this book. The characters are well developed and the story weaves in and out of these turbulent (but very interesting ) lives. Misty grows up a lot and her story goes from fairy tale, to nightmare and back again. I loved it!!! Travis is awesome and Ivan is your typical knight but with a penchant for classical opera. I don't know which one to root for!! The intimate scenes are HOT!! I am looking forward to the third book in this series. I have to cut this review short because I'm so tempted to spill the beans about Henry and Molly. Not to mention the great things that happen to Tom and how Miguel proves his worth. This is definitely a must read!!!

Thanks Craig!!

This series just gets better and better! Without posting a "spoiler" I will say that the characters involved are well rounded and extremely real. Some you will remember from the previous book and others you will enjoy getting to know. There is a suprise at the end, a couple of "former friends" from Alaska that add a twist to the story. Can't tell you what to expect, then it would ruin the books. I just can't wait for the next one to come out now! This is a great book, the author has a one in a million style of writting and is awesome! His talent goes above and beyond. Thank you Craig Odanavich and family! I will be waiting to find out how well Misty and Monique "get along", or not.

I didn't read book one in the series so I was a tad confused upon starting this book. I don't normally read erotic books, this was a first for me. I have read some romance books and this wasn't as "erotic" as I thought it would be. There was a few times I had to force myself to continue reading. I kept telling myself, it'll get better, it'll get better. Maybe if I read book one I could give this a better review but upon finishing this book...I'm not going to spend the $14.95 on book one.

Normally, I do not choose books written by men - simply because I'm a woman and I like to read books written from a female perspective. However, Craig Odanovich quickly changed my mind with Captured Prey. Now I will definitely have to read the first book in the Black Widow Trainer series because this one was great. Very sexy, very enticing, and certainly entertaining. I really loved this book. Misty is a fascinating character and I can't wait to read more.

Received this book from the author Craig Odanovich Craig Odanovich .

It was a good read. Who knew one person could get herself into some much fun trouble. Good thing she has great friends.

I also liked this one because Misty seemed to grow more than she did in book 1.

I don't recommend this book for my LDS friends.

I won this book for free through the goodreads giveaways program.

In the first few chapters of this book, I had my doubts, but I have to admit it slowly got better. I never read the first one in the series, and maybe if I had I would have enjoyed it more. Also, books based on erotica aren't really my cup of tea, so that could have played a part in it.
