OK There is good and bad. I enjoy cookbooks, esp when they have good recipes and involve wild game. This has both. This is not a pure cookbook, however.

Ted Nugent was who turned me on to music. He was the first real person I ever listened to and my first concert back in 1978. I still think Double Live Gonzo is one of the best live albums of all time.

The downside is his writing style. It is a little over the top to say the least but it is no different than hearing how he actually speaks. The book also reads as a living product endorsement. Every piece of equipment mentioned is called out by exact brand name. I suspect Uncle Ted made a pretty penny off all the product endorsements!

I received this book as a Christmas present from my daughter. I'm glad she got it for me. It will hold an honored place in my cookbook collection. Now how do I get it autographed!

Initially I thought this was a joke title and grabbed the book because it was funny. I didn't know who Ted Nugent was (I know, I know... but I'm just not into the music scene) and wanted to show it to my husband (don't worry, he knows exactly who Ted is). To my surprise, I discovered I had a bona fide cookbook on my hands. Since I come from a family of hunters, I'm always on the lookout for cookbooks for game. We ended up getting the book and enjoyed it very much for both the recipes and, of course, Gonzo! Inside you'll find fun stories of hunting and a glimpse into the life of an "American original."

good cookbook for wild game. I liked it because it had recipes for small stuff too like squirrels and rabbit. seems like most wild game recipe books focus on big things like bear and elk. the book also has lovely snippets of hunting stories from the Nuge. His writing style is unique, you can definitely tell he's passionate about hunting!

I have a hard back addition of this book and almost and had to think long and hard about skipping an engagement party for best friend that was in Memphis or drive three hours south to have this book signed. I hope I made the right decision

Interesting, but my tastes are more basic. Plus, I mostly eat deer meat instead of the varieties in this book.
