Avivah, Nikki, Ali, and Beth had been friends since anyone could remember. They did everything together, until one fateful night when everything changed: Their worlds were upended and one of them never came home again. Nothing Lasts Forever is a tale of guilt, sorrow, and consequences.
I got this book for free on Amazon, so I obviously was not expecting too much from it. I started reading the first chapter and found myself enjoying the book, my joy lasted ended at the end of the chapter. Most of the reason I had liked the book at the beginning, was because the current main character Avivah reminded me of me. My Hebrew name is Avivah, I also love art and like her I am also kind. Then the author killed off Avivah, so to Rebecca Harris, I have to say, thanks a fricking lot. After that the book went downhill, they try to pretend her death wasn't their fault, bla bla bla, they meet the new girl, bla bla bla, Nikki doesn't trust her, bla bla bla. Of coarse Nikki is right not to and the ending is obvious, they all die and frankly I'm glad. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone unless you like short books, with many grammatical errors, an obvious plot and a ghost hell bent on killing everyone. If you are one of those people who enjoy that kind of thing, be my guest, read the book. In the end it is free, so at least you aren't wasting your money, you are wasting your time though.
