Zero Division is the debut poetry collection from writer Joseph M. Gant. The poems here make no apologies and take no prisoners. With focus on the short form, Zero Division delivers poetry that ranges from introspectively spiritual to unabashedly outraged. This is a book of examinations and exclamations, truth disguised as fiction, and fiction disguised as truth. Joseph M. Gant leaves a pound of flesh between the covers of Zero Division; The poems beg the reader not merely to consume, but to digest what is offered here.
JM Gant is a New Jersey born poet and zine editor. His book, Zero Division is available wherever dead trees occupy retail isles. He is an Arch Linux enthusiast and self-confessed data-hoarder. The blog, Queen Anne's Revenge, is a bleeding edge repository of his pre-publication poetry and prose.
Exquisitely bleak and dark, Joseph M. Gant's poetry addresses the stark realities of grief, loneliness, depression, broken relationships, hopelessness, and addiction. With beautiful, haunting imagery, he paints portraits of tortured souls. And there's a bit of dark comedy too. I thoroughly enjoyed this collection.
