In Trapped by Impulsion, Charles Feggans’s debut novel, the author relays the story of Jack “Wilson” Wilson. After he lost his job, Wilson picked up a job as a baker in a prison. Soon, an inmate tried to get him to transport drugs into the facility, but he refused. The inmate found a way to gain Wilson’s cooperation, and it led to a steady stream of money and illegal drug movement. Feggans gives a full account of the situation that led to Jack Wilson’s arrest, his processing, hearing, and the time shortly afterward as he tries to regain control of his life.
