The first thing I liked about the book was in the introduction. The author encourages the reader to read the Bible along with his book, "because what is important is not my opinion but what the Bible teaches about deliverance." This book was referred to me and that generally doesn't go over well. This book however, it was worth the time and all of the verses I looked up. It touches on so much sin and backs them up with verses. The author did come across as having a deep desire for the salvation of all, but a specific group of people in particular seems to really tug at his heart. There was only one thing he put that I disagree with and since it didn't have any scripture or facts to back it up I will chalk it up to an ignorant opinion. (pg. 154). Overall the book was informative and I'd recommend it.
Enjoyed re-reading this, discovered new nuggets that are applicable now. I guess the title of the book sounds more hectic than the content is.
It breaks things up to explain what challenges are most commonly faced physically, mentally and spiritually, and gives a lot of scripture references to support the author's stance.
Particularly enjoyed the sections on dealing with offense and stress.
This book is practical and breaks certain things down in a way I haven't heard anywhere else before, and does so unapologetically. Not everything will gel with every Christian 100% based on their own theology and understanding. But it does cover a lot of fundamental concepts when it comes to deliverance.
I could not finish this book. I usually love spiritual warfare books and this had some great help , but not enough to waste time reading. To much wrong doctrine, too much extreme Charismatic leaning that is unbalanced. I have some great Charismatic friends that are not to the extreme and I can go with them. But this guy is off. Maybe it would of got better, so I am giving it a 2, buy I have 2 many books to waste time on an annoying to the max volume.
Some of the stuff was a little far fetched in my opinion but it is a really well meaning book. Some stories will tug at your heart and have you crying and it definitley moves your spirit.
The author's anti-gay message destroys any other possible message he might have. He proudly talks about how he played an instrumental roll in taking away benefits for same-sex partners.
