Flynn So, my agent says I stuffed up and I may lose my part on the hit show Dark Storm. It was my big break. Trouble is, I don't like seeing women getting hurt and when this guy slapped his wife, I punched him. How was I to know he is some big wig, here in Hollywood. I need to disappear for a few weeks. Somewhere far away from the maddening crowds, like Australia. If I'm lucky I might find a willing lady to have some fun with. Avery I am never going to trust a man again with my heart. The last one said he loved me. Trouble was, he was married. From now on I am going to just use men for their bodies and leave them wanting more. I mean I have a great business that is about to take off in America and all the friends I need. First off, I am going to reward myself with the vacation of a lifetime in far north Queensland far away from the maddening crowd.

Flynn gets in trouble for doing the right thing, because he did the right thing to someone with money. His publicist is trying to help him capitalize on momentum from winning a big award, but thinks that he should go away for a while to keep things quiet so people didn't have a reason to talk negatively about him. Avery is relationship adverse, after her last boyfriend turned out to be a chauvinistic married man. After a dramatic scene in a restaurant, she goes to her friend, Scarlet, for sympathy and to regroup. She had planned to surprise the boyfriend with a trip to a resort, she now plans to go alone. Flynn and Avery both end up at the resort, but because of wanting anonymity, they go by different names - Corey & Emmy. They both just want to have a good trip, but they are so drawn to each other. But when it's time to part, will they be able to just go on without the other or are they meant to be something more?
Flynn is in trouble for the right reasons when he meets Avery and starts a fling. These two seem like an unlikely pair but once they start to feel more than l@st for each other they start to build a lasting relationship. Another well written story in this series. Recommend all three books in the series.
