Great ideas and inspiration

Wonderful book- I was happy to re-read it! So MUCH teaching about mixed media techniques and how to incorporate other crafting like embroidery into your scrapbook page designs and I recommend this book because all of the designs are gorgeous!

I sat down over Christmas weekend and pored over this book -- so many fun techniques that I can't wait to try. Love the step-by-steps, and Ashley's pages are always eye candy. Great addition to any crafter's shelves!

Not exactly my style, but I love the step-by-step approach with tons of photos so I could easily follow along if the urge to paint my own background paper strikes me. I love Ashley's style, too... so even though I'm a Simple scrapper, there was plenty of inspiration.

my amazon review.

I was looking for some new ideas on how to jazz up my pages. I didn't find much in the book that I would use.

Like other reviewers, I found pictures on her pages were lost in the mess on her pages.

Some of the designs are fairly simple, some are a bit too artistically complex for a scrapbook. But pieces parts will work. Pages 58, 66, 92, 94 are provably my favorites of the book.

Nothing I'd ever actually do.
If your scrapbooks are more artsy with handmade embellishments....
I just don't have the time to complete her complex ideas.

I like the artist's messy style that's a mix of classic scrapbooking and art journaling. The techniques and instructions are handy.
