I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, but now live in the hottest place on earth: Orlando, FL. I have three beautiful children who keep me running non-stop. When I'm not juggling life and kids, you'll find me huddled away somewhere writing my next book or happily reading someone else's. Like most authors I've come across, I'm a coffee addict, own far too many books than I can fit on my shelves, and I go to work in my pajamas a lot.

OK!! Phew!!! The book did redeem itself and I can tell everyone that I was very happy with the way it ended. I really like the series and I may come back to liking Lexi again. I Still love Kellan but I would have loved for him to give her a little of her own medicine for about 5 minutes, just to Lexi what it feels like. Some really serious stuff happened in this book. It ended up being very good.

My goodness I just love the way Christin writes her books. I literally can not put her books down! Lexi meets a whole new set of obstetrical in this book. Her and Kellan's relationship is put to the test so is Lexi. This book has everything a supernatural book needs. Love and action. I always love a strong female lead and Lexi does not disappoint. Pick up the first book if you haven't already and then go strait to this one you will love this series.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series however didn't really enjoy the second. Although there was alot more action I disliked Lexi's fickle heart, one minute she's wawxing poetically about her love for Kellan the next her blossoming feelings for Kai.
Kellan's best friend was a highlight in this book. Being an Aussie its quite funny to read all the cliche Aussie slang...Craig was a laugh.

It was a good read. Each time I picked it up I was instantly swept back into the story & the characters. The writing is easily read and the storyline polished. I really love Craig & his easy humour. Such an ocker personality (& he's an Aussie!). It was an intense ride of emotions throughout the book with a neat ending. This has allowed for a break in the series or a continuation onto the next. Not sure what I'll do yet.

Vamp Yourself for War – A Thrilling, Action-Packed Paranormal Ride

Vamp Yourself for War was an absolute rush from start to finish! Christin Lovell once again delivers an engaging, fast-paced, and emotional story that had me completely hooked. I loved the mix of action, supernatural elements, and romance—it was the perfect blend of intensity and heart.

The main character was badass but also incredibly relatable. She didn’t just jump into being powerful—she had to earn it, and I loved watching her grow into her strength. The entire concept of “vamping yourself for war” was so unique, and I was completely fascinated by how she had to navigate her transformation while preparing for battle.

The romance? Perfection. The tension, the chemistry, the raw emotions—it had me swooning and screaming at the same time. And let’s talk about the stakes (no pun intended)—the danger felt so real, and I was constantly on edge, desperate to see how things would play out.

And that ending?! Jaw-dropping. I was gripping my chest in shock, barely able to breathe. Christin Lovell knows how to keep readers on their toes, and this book did not disappoint.

If you love badass heroines, high-stakes supernatural battles, and a romance that will have you absolutely obsessed, then this book is for you. It’s an adrenaline-fueled, emotionally intense, and highly entertaining read that left me craving more!

Five stars and a one-way ticket to my favorites shelf!

Book 2 in the series doesn't disappoint

The book picks up right where Book 1 ends and doesn't let up. Its packed with action and everything else. You are taken through a real roller coaster ride of emotions. This book really invokes what being a teenager feels like. Definitely can't wait to read the next one!

I forgot how wild this one is. I have reread it too many times to count. But I like how it can still surprise me.

I took a chance reading this book, as it is the second in the series but I hadn't read the first book. I'm glad I tried it anyway, because I really ended up enjoying it. An interesting bit was all the references to the Twilight series - which I haven't read. Fortunately that series seems so simplistic I was able to follow along anyway.

Lexi is not your typical teenager (16), in more ways than one. She is often much more mature than those around her and displays an amazing amount of control. Unfortunately, I did find some of her speech patterns irregular and unrealistic, but hey we're talking about vampires so I'll let that one go.

I really liked all the characters in this book, and there was a lot of humor throughout the book. I kind of wish there was more romantic triangle (or square) action going on, but I'm happy that Lexi is happy. I do hope there's more Kai and Kalel in the next book!

The story flows nicely and the pacing is brisk. There's quite a bit of action near the end. Loved all the technology (don't think it's possible, but again we're talking vampires so...yeah).

Only a few minor errors (extra or missing punctuation, misspellings), so overall great!

while I thought this book was much better than book 1, I still feel it could have been better. the grammar wasn't so much an issue for me, however I found that the writing style was hard to follow a lot of of time. I had to constantly re-read paragraphs to be sure I was reading correctly, and felt the author was jumbling up a lot of the wording and leaving out important things called PUNCTUATIONS. now onto the subjuct of the book, lexis is developing quite nicely however throwing in 3 other vamps after her love and affection was a real put off ESPECIALLY since they all have names that start with a K, I see the author has a bad habbit of sticking characters with names that start with K and R so it was a bug distraction. and I feel that her loosing both parents in one swift motion was too much too soon. but alas I am invested and intrigued and will see the eerie to the bitter end.

This is a continuation of the love beetween two vampeens, Lexi and Kellan. They face struggles like never before and will do anything to save each other. Even if it means risking their lives. This journey begins when Lexi is brought to the elders for an evaluation. She is soon favored and is offered a special position in the vamp army. Lexi risks her life and Kellan's love for one mission.

In this book you are able to feel the the betrayal, the love, the pain and the loss. The way Christin Lovell involves the people from the past into the present and the shocking surprise for events it make you feel like you're they with them experiencing what they do.

The seccond novel to this series is great. I loved reading this novel, it was to the point where I wasnt able to put the book down! This novel has more action and juciy details then the first. One aspect of these series I love is that it is told alot like a diary, so getting to read the thoughts the main character as well as others is great. I was sad about the confusion with Kellen, however the author does not leave him alone. I would recomend this to everyone, no matter what gender you ae, this is a rather thrilling book.

Like book #2, I absolutely loved this book. So much that I stayed up until 4am to finish. I'm excited to start on book #3 today.

Other then quickly becoming my new addiction, I love this series because of the location. I was born and raised in SC, and I still live here. My best friend lives in Charleston, I've been to all places mentioned, and I practically lived at Carowinds as a child.

Give this series a try.

This book was free for a while, but I didn't know about it, so I skipped it. I was so stupid!!! After reading the first book in the series, I jumped on line and purchased this one. It was even better than the first book and I loved the way the story began to unfold. This series has such great potential and I'm so excited to read more of it. Bring on book 3!!!

One again I was totally impressed by this novel. I'm so glad I decided to buy all four novels because so far they are completely worth it. I was saddened by the death and betrayals in the novel but it made everything much more intense. I look forward to the third one.

Not bad

Good elements but didn't tie together well. Some critical areas not explained well enough. Alexa was too unbelievable, given she's 16 and a new "vampeen" . Bladangs best part of story.

Just as great, if not better, than the first one. Lovell has incorporated so many lovable characters within this series that you just can't get enough. And of course it is action packed because, duh, vamps.
