Ring the Change

Imagine the value of a personal protective force-field in a combat situation. Professor Standing had more than imagined it, he'd actually made one, or had very nearly completed it. The only problem was that of funding. The MOD had lost patience and the funding was going to be stopped, so the professor was looking at alternative sources of finance.
Enter ex-Sgt. Curly Curtis, late of the SAS. He is assigned the task of infiltrating the plant and acquiring all information before it leaves the country, destined to potentially hostile powers. However, the system isn’t perfect and there’s an accident in the lab. Curtis’s last awareness before blacking out was of someone saying that his face was melting.
A week later, a young woman wakes in hospital two hundred miles away with no memory of who she is or how she got there. The amnesia doesn't last, but with recall come some unique problems. Join her on her struggle to find herself and to finish the job that Rob Curtis was assigned.

Tanya Allan is a prolific writer of various works, including novels, short stories and poetry. Some of her work, relating to transgender issues, may be familiar to those who feel that perhaps life would have been easier had they been born with a body and mind of the same gender. She is in the process of publishing all other work under the same name.

Tanya is now settled in the southern half of the United Kingdom (sometimes known as England). Born and educated in Scotland, and having experienced well over a half-century of life, in a myriad of guises, mostly involved keeping the realm safe and secure from enemies, both domestic and foreign, Tanya has a more sedate life now, concentrating on grandchildren, dogs, travel and writing.

Exciting and fun

I great read which combines lively action with good humoured banter.
Rebecca is not what she appears so she is able to get into situations that most cannot, and fortunately get out of them as well.
