“If I told her she was everything I had been looking for, would she believe me? Probably not. If I gave up my dreams for her, would she say it was too much of a sacrifice? Maybe. But is it really a sacrifice if by giving it up, I would gain what I really wanted in life . . . love?” When hospital policy states that physicians cannot become involved with trainees, the newest addition to the hospital, Dr. Tori Becker, and trainee, Dr. Kenya Jackson, are forced to ignore their mutual attraction. But that's not the only obstacle keeping them from one another. Old relationships, past flings, and threats on their lives surface. The two must decide what lengths they are willing to go to for their chance at love.
Its always hard to write reviews for awesome books...this book great, it had just right amount of twists, surprises and unavoidable drama so that the reader could see it actually happening in real life.
This was an enjoyable read. The characters were likable and the romance was sweet. I recommend this for anyone looking for a good black lesbian love story. Its a light and fun read with a few twists and turns. Definitely worth checking out. I hope Ms. Pride comes out with another book soon.
