What does the crow say? Caw! Caw! The donkey says hee-haw, hee-haw! The cow says moo-o-o-o-o! What do the owls say? Whoo-o-o-o-o! Children will love imitating the sounds each of the animals, birds, and insects make in this colorfully illustrated sturdy board book.
This has been a favorite with all six of our children. They especially love it when you tickle their tummies while making the bee's zzzzz noise. We wore out our first copy and had to pick up another. 8/23 I’m going to have to tape up our 2nd copy. It really is a favorite. 1/25 I found a like-new copy at a second-hand shop!

I've read this book to my son (now 41), my daughter (40), my grandson (nearly 6) and my granddaughter (nearly 1) until I've learnt it by heart. We've used the same book and passed it around the family. The pictures are naive and charming, the text is basic and babies adore it 😍
I found this book incredibly informative: it covered both animals both commonplace (dogs) and exotic (donkeys), distinguished between big vs baby animals, and the colors were captivating! One (minor) quibble is that this MIGHT have been better as an audiobook.
Overall, I learned a lot about animal noises! Not sure about my baby tho
Good for what it is, I guess - a listing of the various sounds various animals make.
Simply illustrated, just not that engaging for me and mine. And I neglected to think when I bought it about how I'd fit a tall book like that on my normal shelf for board books - it's too big to fit there, but too bulky for my regular bookshelf!
This book guides young readers through the many different animal sounds of those primarily on a farm. It uses rhyming and repetition to present the many sounds. I thought this book was really cute with lots of bright, inviting illustrations. This would be great for teaching young children animals sounds and possibly even rhyming.
