A treasury of prayer

These s are prayers from the 14 century onwards. The wording is not modern. The intentions are valid as the day these works were written. I feel that this is a good resource.

Find your own words for your own Creator, okay for mediations of another’s journey but perhaps you can find your own for surely you have considered them.

If my whole life I have heard of my father and never looked into his eyes but heard of the love expressed, of the gifts not sent or the presents to arrive surely when the door opens and my eyes see myself what emotions can express the words to your life long desire your life long wonder...perhaps the overwhelming love bursting from your chest...

Just didn't make the cut. Having taught Catholic School, I have a many prayer books. I was hoping for something I could place on my kindle so I would not disturb my husband late at night or early in the morning, I was very disappointed.

This is a very old book of early church prayers, and I really enjoyed it. It was free on kindle, and it will be a keeper for reading over many times.

I liked the prayers in this book, but it would be more useful to me if I did not have the kindle version. Because the kindle does not go back and forth well, I would have to read trouble moving to a prayer I liked if I wanted to recall or reuse it. The days of the week prayers were my favorite, but others were also well translated (from the German).
