Not something to read by the fire, but this was indispensable when it first appeared in the 1980s, and remains so. For every play there is a thorough listing of textual variants, editors' amendments, and so on. A towering piece of scholarly research that forms a key part of the backbone of Shakespearean textual analysis to this day.
