A book intended for young readers, crafted with a masterful touch and a keen, sensitive eye that delves into both the surface and the deeper layers of adolescent life.

As an adult, I find it heartbreaking. I’m not sure I would have grasped its emotional depth had I read it as a teenager. Though the story is difficult to read, it offers a glimpse into a simpler time—the 1970s—a world that feels distant, yet strangely familiar.
