The theme was that love trumped money and even back then she made sure her heroine and hero got their happy ending. They were penniless and ragged but happy!
As she grew older Nina continued to spend most of her spare time with her head in a book but the writing did get put to one side in the whirl of life.
However the dream never quite went away - and eventually (following a university degree, meeting her very own real life hero, a stint as an accountant, a further stint as a recruitment consultant, many short stories and three children later), Nina is a real author whose fifth Mills&Boon book comes out in November.
Nina now lives with her husband and three children in Brighton, UK and loves the fact that she can work in her pyjamas (as long as she remembers to change in time for the school run)

Adam Masterson has it all, he's ridiculously good looking, rich, powerful and famous. The one thing he does not have is the luxury of avoiding the bag-a-billionaire woman that have suddenly appeared in droves, with only one aim, to drag him off to the altar.
But he does his very best, so when he spots a super sexy strawberry blonde climbing through a restroom window on the night of one of his events he is dead set on getting rid of her asap, surely she is just another gold-digger!
But the jolt of sexual attraction that hits him the moment he looks into her eyes has him wanting to drag her off to his bed instead of throwing her out into the cold. All Olivia wants is for Adam to tell her where she can find his father, and then she'll be on her merry little way.
But Adam sees Olivia as a chance to send the bag-a-billionaire woman running back to their not so rich boyfriends, and along the way he might as well enjoy Olivia's body in his bed, but Olivia is not about to turn out to be the average woman and Adam is in for the ride of his life!
This read was one of the best debut's I have read in a long time. It was pure reading magic from start to finish! Crazy, hot, wild, super funny and so unbelievably sexy !! I honestly did not want this book to end , I wanted to stay in the romantic, sensual wild and crazy world this author created. I laughed out loud, I felt the anger during confrontational moments, and I cried my eyes out for the sadness both main characters had to deal with.
The character of Adam was one of the sexiest, sweetest, most delicious hero's I have ever read. I wanted this man all to myself, and yes I was totally jealous of Olivia! I loved his careful consideration streak whilst still having that little bit of a impulsive moment here are there. Most of the billionaire hero's in these reads are just impulsive without stopping to think what the heroine is feeling, Adam was impulsive but he also kept thinking about how Olivia would be feeling and relating it back to her past. His past was a real humdinger! I wanted to grab his father and smack him over the head and then bury his sorry butt in the sand for the sea turtles to carry off to a land where no one would ever find him again. The way Adam handles everything in life including his terrible very sad past was really unique, through this character the author showed that our past has so much influence on our future and it does teach us one thing but has our hearts wishing for something else, to what extent we allow it to influence our future decisions is what will separate us from the rest of the crowd.
The character of Olivia was awesome in so many ways. I loved her fun and spunky outlook on life, even though she is a bit of a bore here and there, and by that I mean she 's not really the party it up kind of girl and instead sees fun in life as something completely different, rather doing little things to make life fun like shopping instead of doing anything impulsive. Her appreciation of landscapes, food and everything beautiful really made her pop from the pages, I wanted to be like her and be addicted to everything in life. Yet at the same time I kept feeling this overwhelming sadness because she only halfway embraces life because of her past and linking it back to the type of woman Adam is usually seen with. Her determination to meet with Adam's father really tore at my heartstrings, I loved her for it the one minute and the next I wanted to tell he to abandon the plan all together because I felt every single moment of possible rejection and anger with her during the buildup to the meeting. Through this character the author showed that life is full of risks, if we don't take the risk to discover what we desperately need to know we will always wonder, yes there is the chance that it will all fall flat and feel like it was for nothing, but at least we will know we gave it our all.
I am taking away many powerful messages from this read , life is about having fun, living it up a little every now and then, learning to see yourself through the eyes of another, letting go of the past and walking towards new future. The message that stood out the most is that even the most broken of people deserve to be happy, the trick is to not be in love with the idea of being happy but to be in love with the people around you that will help you make your ideas a reality and then you will for darn sure always be happy.
I highly recommend this read for all fans of romance reads! It had spunk, a crazy sexy plot, stunning backdrops, a hilarious and emotional dialogue , passionate pizzazz, and characters that will forever remain in my heart! I will be first in line for this author's next release.

I'm on the fence about this book. It was okay I guess. Had some redeeming moments and is a quick read.

I suppose if you're a billionaire you will be inclined to think everyone wants you for your money and nobody really wants you for yourself. Everyone gets tossed into the same bucket of gold-digging faker and Adam has difficulty differentiating between the diggers and the non-diggers.
Olivia isn't looking to bag, dig or scam anything from Adam or anyone else for that matter. She just needs to find a solution to an unexpected problem. It isn't even her problem that needs solving.
You would think the person needing a change of attitude or perhaps a closer look at their opinion of relationships in general, would be Adam. He does, but Olivia has a lot of adjusting to do herself.
What I really enjoyed about this lovely little romance was the air of pure joy at the smaller things in life. The sand between their toes, the sound of waves or the sun shining on their faces. Teaching each other in their own specific way how to take down the walls of misconceptions they surround themselves with.
This is a spirited romance with quirky characters and cat burglars.

I've had the awesome privilege of reading Milne's writing for years and the fact my fave book of hers - How To Bag A Billionaire - has turned into her M&B Tempted debut still makes me want to whoop with joy! Her sassy, witty, clever voice comes over in every line and she builds her story with enviable flair to make Olivia and Adam's romance a page-turning pleasure to read.
Adam is a whole hunk of sexy yumminess and Olivia is the girl I would love to take down the pub for a drink, so from the get-go I was rooting for them while the sparks were flying and the emotions ratcheted to breaking point. Milne may have a modern voice but her characters are multi-dimensional flawed personalities so the emotions run deep - not an easy feat in a small punch of a series book. For anyone who loves contemp romance with a twist on the usual tropes, How To Bag A Billionaire is this seasons must-have read. Highly recommended!

Olivia neds to talk to Adam Masterson. Urgently. Unfortunately he regards all unknown women as gold diggers with some justification, after all he's the subject of a magazine article about How to Bag a Billionaire. So when Olivia adopts some extreme measures to engineer a meeting Adam is more than a little suspicious - and despite himself intrigued by the brautiful cat burglar.
I absolutely loved this debut; it is really funny, very sexy and Olivia is a brilliant heroine, sassy, hardworking, loyal and really believable. The tension between the hero and heroine crackles right through to the very satisfying ending. Lovely from start to finish.

September 12, 2014Nina Milne delivers a delightful debut full of swoon-worthy romance and emotion. I loved Olivia and Adam together, they sparked from the very first scene and I loved watching Olivia reform Adam's opinion of her. How To Bag A Billionaire has a great mix of glitz and romance, Nina Milne's voice leaps off the page and had me laughing out loud. Super fun, flirty and satisfying. Can't wait to read her next book.

Olivia needs to connect with Adam but not as one of the crazy women intent on bagging a billionaire. She's got more important reasons for seeking him out. While she teaches him a relationship can be about more than sex, he teaches her that some men can be trusted.

Would have been a solid 3 star, maybe even a 3.5 star read had it not been for the last chapter. If the resolution had stretched out a bit more, or maybe had an epilogue, it would have been better. But since it didn't, there is much left to be desired.
I liked Olivia and her honesty. She was forthright from beginning to end and I admire her for it. Her capitulation after Adam's confession was a bit of a quick turnaround and a little too easily won for my taste. I think I was hoping for something to transition her from feeling rejected by yet another man who should have been important to her own confession of affection. I wasn't looking for words of shaming or justification, just a little more so the about-face didn't feel so quick and shallow. Her words weren't shallow, nor her feelings, but that's how they came across, the solid structure built on limestone. Too much imagery? Probably, but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say. Looks solid but easily worn away. Anyway, I just felt it was lacking.
Adam was pretty good as a lead man. I could have used a bit more humor from him throughout and more groveling at the end. Despite all we learn about him, his past, his reasoning, and his parentage, I still feel like I don't really know him. Make of that what you will.
Overall, a relatively enjoyable read until the last chapter where resolution comes too quick and feels like a shallow victory.

Just your typical love story with nothing really special or extraordinary in it to take it to the next level.
It was cute and short.
I enjoyed reading it but it's not that memorable, and next month I probably won't even remember the characters' names.

I really enjoyed this book, a nice quick read and my first ever mills and book. Shit ending though...

3.5 stars. This was a fun and lighthearted story. A nice way to spend an afternoon.
