This was an extremely impressive collection of ancient Roman history which predates the Caesars, and shows a nation coming into what would eventually be one of the largest empires the world has ever known.

Covers what still exists of books 1 - 35, from Aeneas to 81 BCE.
Includes the Punic Wars.

The text where fragments are inserted being in capital letters takes some getting used to.
