Big-T

Rate this book
A loner living off past success, Tanya Bones is subjected to abuse and isolation in her quest to discover the mystery behind a giant alien sphere crushing its way across Texas: the Turtle known as "Big-T". Despite the odds, she still rises up against the ones who would keep her smothered beneath threats and intimidation, all to answer a call that only she can hear - the voice of Big-T itself!

A compelling novelette of an individual fighting to rise above the collapsing society around her from the creative mind of author Jakob Drud.

I liked the artwork before I read the story, but even more afterwards. Good, compelling short story; I enjoyed it!

This story belongs to an older tradition of wonder-filled SF that's all about hope for the future. A refreshing break from too much dystopian stuff that's out there today.
