Every teacher of young children MUST read this!!!!!!!!!! Before 4K becomes watered down first grade, and so on...teachers have to allow children to make meaningful play. This excellent book gives ideas for interpreting child's play and how to provide and extend opportunities for literacy development.
This is an excellent book about easy and accessible ways ECE professionals can incorporate literacy into the class room, and I don't mean just making kids trace letters and words. Children need to see reading and writing modeled and have an opportunity to explore both of these through play.
