100 Lockdown Poems.

“My today was alright and my tomorrow will certainly be better. That’s the way I’ve always looked at life.” Sir Captain Tom Moore.

During one of the toughest periods in modern history Sir Captain Tom Moore inspired a nation with his determination to do some good and to do his part. This collection is my tribute to this inspirational and courageous man. Each poem looks to encapsulate a moment, a theme or a feeling of what has been one of the hardest couple of years many of us have experienced.

“Sarah Hobbs obviously put her down time to good use. ‘Lockdown’ is a lovely poetic time capsule of the last two years, capturing in verse the sentiments a lot of us were thinking.”

About the author

Sarah Hobbs

10 books11 followers
Sarah Hobbs is a poet from South London. Born and raised on the streets in and around London they bring these experiences passionately to their poetry.

Seen regularly on the Spoken Word scene around London and the South East of England they are one of the up and coming talents, even describing themselves as the Syllabic Seamstress of poetry.

Their style is very simplistic and mirrors that of Benjamin Zephaniah, their great inspiration and idol.

They believe that poetry needs to focus on a younger audience in order to entice people to love this not so common art form.

Simplicity and rhythm is therefore crucial, because it is this that makes it available and enjoyable to anyone, of any age, race or gender.
