Children can hop on board a tour bus with a pig rock band as they set off to do their gigs, from rehearsals and concert preparations to signing autographs and performing live in front of a cheering crowd.
Um... I don't know the author's other work, but nothing about the text or 'story' struck me as being anything special or unique. Usually I love the illustrator's work, but this time, the work felt flat, without any sense of whimsy or fun. To me, both the author and the illustrator were sleepwalking through this book.
This book literally could've ended at any time and made the same amount of sense. There's no real story. It's just words. Many of them repeated, and not in a particularly fun way. Could be perfect for the right kid, but definitely not a classic.
The three year old (on a Peppa Pig kick) requested a book about pigs. I picked this up at the library. It’s pretty lame. It rhymes but there isn’t much of a story.
A rhyming story about a rock band made up of pigs. The print is large and would be great for you and your young child to practise reading together. I'm not thrilled with the Illustrations myself but I could see children enjoying the large bright cartoon drawings. The story is kind of cute and simple.
I must be missing something. These pigs porky pink faces are things of nightmares! Pigs form a band and hti the road in their bus, literally (they crash). I think it would be a fun readaloud to someone who was feeling it.
This is a lyrical and rhyming tale of a pig rock band that plays several different styles of music. With its repetition and rhyme, it will make a terrific read aloud that will compel kids to join in. "Fans clap. Fans cheer. It's the pig rock band they love to hear!"
This was my favorite book as a child. Every time we went to the library it had to be Pigs Rock! (until that faithful day I went to the library an saw that someone checked out but did not return Pigs Rock). The audacity! This is a good book for beginning readers
The pigs rock and the pigs roll and the fans clap for them when they perform. This is a fun book for children, I think first graders would love this story and would be caught up in the fun that they wouldn't want the fun to end.
Very cute about a bunch of pigs that are in a band. Their fans love them. The pigs bus gets in an accident but they make it back to their concert just in time. This book also has great rhyming.
