[Menage Erotic Paranormal Menage a Quatre Romance, M/F/M/M, werewolves, interracial, spanking] Desiree has one mission to fulfill in this lifetime. She must reunite with her werewolf soul mates long enough to get one of them to turn her into a wolf so they can impregnate her. Then she can finally break free from the cycle of rebirth and heartbreak she and her lovers have been forced to endure. Once Marius, Demetrius, and Flynn find the woman they know they're destined to love, there is no force they will allow to tear her from them, not even their loyalty to their pack. After a near-tragedy rocks the Lycan community, Desiree is left unprotected, and she must flee for her life. Though it breaks her heart, she has no intention of returning to her lovers. She won't ask them to choose between their love for their pack and their love for her. The trio of brothers must fight to preserve their love. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

This is one of those books where you like it but you need two readings just to make it all click. It's not a bad book but I feel like at time things were missed or make better sense one you know the end and re-read to absorb the details better. Not sure I bought all of the connections between Desiree and the brothers. I definitely got her longing/desire for Marius but not as much the other brothers.

Always happy to try out multicultural menage books featuring a Black woman. There are too few of those out there.

Not a big fan of this type of book, especially the fantasy plot which is only to create an opportunity for sex. Just not my thing. Quit reading.

So I don’t like the racist undertones of this book. Desiree is a black woman character written by a white woman and when she looks in the mirror this is what she says ““She wasn’t due back at the hairdresser’s for another six weeks. The nappy roots were barely visible.”

Excuse me, but I don’t know any black woman that calls her hair nappy. There are so many adjectives that could have been used here… kinky, curly, wavy…. that would have been much better. It’s something about the word nappy that rubbed me the wrong way. I could not bring myself to finish this book after that.

Desiree is the second in the Daughters of Circe series. Desiree is a woman who hasn't had an easy time of it with her trio of soul mates. Burned by past events that devastated the lives of every one of her family members, Desiree is out to fulfill the terms of the curse so she can finally be free. Marius, Demetrius, and Flynn aren't willing to let her go so easily. They've learned from their past mistakes, and they'll do what's necessary to help her move past the heartbreak they unwittingly dealt her.
