It has been about a year since I read this book. I chose it for a young women's group that I had been leading. It is a fabulous Christian-based "help" book for parents/young adults/role models, etc. to get with it and get involved in the social pressures of today to be a certain way.
We are wonderfully complex, as God created us, and this book puts it out there. Kimberly wrote a fantastic book that truly opened my eyes to things about myself. I read the book and created a lesson plan for the group of high school women, but I gained so much from it!
Kids or no kids...read the book. You will gain much for yourself and all those in your life.

I found this book both helpful and not so helpful. There was some tips that can definitely help my teen focus on being him and not some celebrity that doesn't have it all together but what I didn't like was that the author came across as judgmental.
If you don't mind being preached at, you will get some helpful information from this book but if you're like me and don't care for the holier than thou attitude you may not.
