Shenandoah

Shenandoah had lost his right leg in the last months of the war, and he had learned to manage fairly well on a wooden leg. However, it was the wanton killing of his friend, the sheriff of Coulter County, that put Shenandoah Holcomb on a personal manhunt. A one-legged man, who was passably good with a weapon, had the kind of handicaps no one in his right mind overlooked in chasing outlaws - but Shenandoah did.
