The God Formula: A simple scientifically proven blueprint that has transformed millions of lives

Rate this book
You may be surprised to learn that over the last decade a revolutionary scientific research project has been taking place that’s led to major advances in how to produce what seem like miraculous results in your life, and extraordinary levels of meaning and happiness. The research (conducted by the Center for the Study of Intent) uncovered a new dimension of human development and has revolutionized the way personal growth, meaning, happiness, and ultimately advanced spiritual topics such as ‘enlightenment’ are understood. The results, if you let them, will transform the quality of your life in ways you currently cannot even imagine as possible. During the research a formula was uncovered that is so effective at producing what seems like miracles in people’s lives it began to be referred to as the “God Formula” among participants and researchers. This book outlines that formula, and is the final version of the highly successful training material that was used with research participants. These researchers became the first scientists to successfully experiment with this new developmental continuum. The result has been the discovery of a series of techniques that lead from everyday consciousness to increased daily happiness and satisfaction, and finally to enlightenment and beyond (yes, there is a beyond!). This book covers the first stages of this process. You can view a summary of the results from the research phase that related to it, and later ones CenterForIntent.org/freedom. This book covers three primary components that combine to form a complete system of person growth, and an assortment of techniques for each component. While it provides the components, how they need to come together for maximum effectiveness will be unique to you. You’ll need to experiment with various combinations of these techniques until you find the one that works best for you. This may sound unusual. You’re probably used to reading books where the authors assert they have the one answer for everyone. The researchers at the Center tested an enormous number of techniques but didn’t find a single one that was helpful to more than a handful of individuals…when it was beneficial for anyone at all. However, they learned that there are a relatively small number of techniques that can be combined in ways that are incredibly effective. You just have to find the unique combination of these techniques that works for you right now. This book provides the distilled down wisdom from all of that testing. They were able to successfully identify core components from the methods that proved themselves. However, no one can tell you how to combine those components to get them to work best for you. People are simply too different for that to be possible. So, you’ll have to join the team, be your own scientist, and experiment! The good news is that the researchers spent an enormous amount of time and money narrowing down the possibilities for you. Most of the research participants were able to use this book to find the combination that worked for them quite quickly. It is likely the same will be true for you. It’s important that you not take the information this book contains lightly. Unlike other personal growth and self help books, this one is driven by a vast amount of actual research into what works. It was revised continually based on research participant feedback, so it’s very simple and easy to understand and use. But don’t let this simplicity fool you. Every line is there for a reason. This material has changed a lot of lives, if you’ll let it…yours can be next.

A good primer on visualization techniques.

The book explains the formula: Visualization + Emotion + Release -> Manifestation.

For now 4 stars.

I will re-read it once again, pretty soon, and then I will decide about the final rating.

Something like this should be re-read often, and put to the practice right away.
Nothing groundbreaking, nothing we haven't already seen somewhere else.
But, it's short, concise, and on the point.

My recommendation, but only if you will start with the process of visualization right away.

A scientific paper re-written for the public. I consider this a primer for spiritual seekers. It gives encouragement, details roadblocks along the way, discusses expectations.

Profound and transformative!!!

The God Formula fills a gap in the popular self-help literature that much needed to be filled. It crucially explains the the "presto manifesto" principle so many woke new-agers live by and preach. Here we have the manifestation formula broken down in a way the general public can easily understand and apply. Highly recommend for all seekers of the truth!!! Plus, it's sure to leave one wanting to learn more about this impressive research project and the conclusions it's pointing to... Luckily, there are many more books by Jeffery A. Martin available now. I read The Finders before this one, and I'm picking up another of his books right now. Happy awakening. Remember yourself and be more...

The book itself is worth about 3 stars, but the Appendices are really interesting.

I also liked the footnotes, but I often like footnotes so that's not surprising.

Self help books are a dime a dozen these days. When I picked this one up, I had expectations that it was going to be nothing more than any other self-help book but I was wrong. I found The God Formula to be enlightening and uplifting. The positive approach used in the book and the common sense ideas put forward can really work for anyone.

The author doesn’t waste time trying to allow you (the reader) to push your problems around. No, instead Martin breaks down the idea that you need help and begins to build you back up with theories and ideas that anyone can grab a hold of and put into practice right away. Change isn’t an immediate thing, it is a process, Martin knows that and takes you through that process attempting to match the person with the method that works best for that person.

What I liked the most about the book is that these aren’t just pie in the sky ideas that no one has ever tried. Jeffrey Martin has real world experience and has seen this all put into action. He knows where he is coming from and gets it to the reader in a clear and understandable way. Great read!

Amazing & life changing info. No, its not a religious text, nor does it actually deal with "God" in the classical sense. This is practical info on the power of your thoughts and the power you have over them and through them to change your life.

**Side note on Focusing: While Focusing is a great tool, it's an expensive technique to learn if you want professional training. I think in order to qualify for a partner through the Focusing Institute it was going to cost me over $900, and at least three months of practice. HOWEVER, that's just one of the many techniques mentioned and shouldn't deter you from reading this book. I just thought I'd share my experince so that if you're interested in that aspect, you know what you're getting into.
I also discovered a wonderful book called 'Deep Meditation-Pathway to Personal Freedom', that really helped me with the relaxation portion of method.
Cheers!

An interesting book about the power of intent and belief (backed up with scientific research), and one which is (thankfully) not puffed out with unnecessary detail or anecdote.

Now I need to pull my Kindle highlights together and keep the document handy, so that I remember to try the techniques and see which approaches work best for me!

At one level or another, virtually everyone understands that our thoughts and our words affect the world around us. Here is an attempt to unpack the claims made by people in the self-help market who package systems for making thoughts reality.

I read this as a follow-up to Rod Pennington's books. It might work!

Pretty good "power of thought" book. Research driven, seems to be the real deal. Nice short book, to the point.
