Dr. Minton's second book, The Immortality Enzyme, features an amazing scientific discovery known as "telomerase", an enzyme found in the nucleus of cells directing longevity. It can make cells immortal. The Immortality Enzyme by Phillip Minton, M.D. is available on major book retail websites.

Inspired by the latest findings he decided to revisit the topic of telomerase in his next book. He also plans to explore further the topic of the use of chocolate as a low-carbohydrate dietary measure to help his followers attain an optimal physique and healthy physiology.

Dr. Phillip Minton sincerely hopes that his work and books will serve to enlighten people as to how they can live fuller, more enjoyable and productive lives.

As a home cook constantly searching for healthy new dishes that offer the possibility of a slimming effect, I found the book Chocolate, Healthfood of the Gods a real delight. It not only inspired me to cook slimming dishes with chocolate, but it also dished up the history and the science behind the food, and offered a few recipes to boot! I finally have an excuse to enjoy all the chocolate I want.

Pros
Written by a practicing doctor who offers practical advice on using chocolate for weight loss and as a health food in general. It is especially nice that the author discussed the potential downsides of eating a lot of chocolate.

Cons
It would be nice to have more illustrations and in color in this paperback.

Conclusion
An excellent, thorough overview of chocolate as a healthy food.
