Couldn't We Just Kill 'Em And Tell God They Died?: Overcoming difficult relationships with your family and friends

Rate this book
Do your children make you insane? Does your husband seem deranged? Do you have a friend who drives you crazy? In Couldn't We Just Kill'em And Tell God They Died?, popular author and women's minister Cathy Lechner helps you love the impossible people in your life. "Some family and friends you choose yourself," says Cathy, "but others are simply thrust upon you. Because you don't always get to choose who to love and when to love them, you sometimes feel like strangling some of them (well, maybe not quite!)." In the same popular style of her best-seller I'm Trying To Sit At His Feet, But Who's Going To Cook Dinner?, Cathy's anointed words will minister hope and healing to your troubled relationships. With hilarious anecdotes, side-splitting stories and candid insight, Cathy will have you laughing with those people who often make you cry.

I love this book. The humour is a bit cheesy at times, and the writing can come over as flippant, but it really isn't. There are some gems in here about Bathsheba and Michal and its worth reading this book for them alone - there's lots more besides too! I don't know how many times I've read this now, but it remains a book full of wisdom and I know I will want to read it again.

Great humor no matter what religion you believe in. I do disagree with her on a few things in her book, but most of her text is based on the Bible and gospel principals that are common to most Christian religions. Its a good read!

There was a time when I found Christian non-fiction just boring, and that used to leave me with a bad conscience. This was my first Cathy Lechner book, and it broke the spell. Liberating and refreshing.

This is a fun read and definitely makes you think. The stories and anecdotes did make me smile, and laugh. A good read when some smiling is needed.

Doesn't the title just jump out and grab you? I wonder how many people picked up the book to look at it, just because the title caught their eye?
