Ben Weston's four-year-old daughter wanted a "real family," complete with mommy. And the mommy she'd chosen was Anne Marshall.
Anne was the newest architect on Ben's staff, a thirty-seven-year-old widow and mother entering the work force for the first time. But her excitement about the job faded when it became apparent that Ben disliked and distrusted her.
Then, suddenly, the aloof and attractive Ben seemed to change his attitude. Why did he pursue her so ardently, even going so far as to include her in family outings? Was he interested in her - or did he just want a mother for his daughter?
A well written 90's romance about a 37 year old militaty widow who goes to work after her twin sons head off to college. It's also about a man with a young daughter who has been burned by a bad marriage and is definitely still bitter about. An older friend of both of them attempts to get the two of them together. A good story.
