I had to use this to teach at the local university. It is okay but not my favorite. The videos are so unbearable (more so in the second year book) that I was embarrassed to show them. I also hate how the vocabulary isn't defined. Students have to use context clues to figure out the meaning and look throughout the whole chapter as not all of the vocabulary is listed on the last page of the chapter.

a wonderful textbook for learning Spanish, may have been overpriced almost 200$ because I had to get an access code. but at least took two semesters with the book so I could get my moneys worth. it's a great book for learning Spanish and very helpful. but definitely overpriced. but can honestly say I will be using it in the future.

This was a great introductory text to Spanish, especially for students who are familiar with the language. It's also paced well, though chapter 14 attempts to squeeze in too many verb tenses in a couple of pages. I would have liked more explanation of past subjunctive tense!
