A former WWII Army Intelligence Officer goes to Africa to investigate the disappearance of a missing doctor and comes face to face with his own mortality.

The pilot of a U-2 spy plane is dispatched on a sortie. His top secret to photograph and map a mysterious blip on the radar, an anomaly that has only been rumored for years. Throughout time, it has appeared abnormally, then disappeared- not to be seen again.

Stateside, two government agents from the OSS are sent to recruit an ex-World War II, intelligence officer and special agent, Dave Marshall, for a recovery mission. A medical doctor and agent is reported missing from the Congo region of Africa. He must find the missing doctor at all costs, and investigate this mysterious blip on the radar. Extract the doctor or kill him, if he has been turned to the enemy. His mission is vital to his country's security and interests in the region.

After a brief, chance encounter with Ana, the teenage daughter of Dr. Milton, she insists on going to find her father. Dave believes he is too close to the situation, having known the doctor from the war, add to...his accompanying daughter, a debutante.

Once they arrive in Africa, they rendezvous with an old salt and expert safari guide, who leads them through the treacherous jungle. The expedition forms up, and the deeper they get into the jungle, the more mysterious and dangerous it becomes. Has Dr. Milton been killed or captured? Is he still alive?

A conflict of ideology emerges during the search, and Marshall comes face to face with his own mortality, in this- the ultimate showdown of his life.
