I grew up in Hertfordshire and studied art and textiles in Manchester then moved to London where I worked as a visual artist.
I began writing in 2005 and have an MA in Creative Writing from City University.
A Scattering is my second novel. [the first was published under a pseudonym]
Our Precious Earth was published in October 2024.
I currently live in Worthing, West Sussex with my partner and cat.
I write, rewild my garden, photograph the wildlife found there, walk on the South Downs and am a climate activist.

Jestem w szoku, że ta książka nie ma żadnych ocen 😅 bardzo wciągająca historia o poszukiwaniu swoich korzeni, odkrywaniu prawdy o przeszłości i samej sobie. Mamy tu dwie linie czasowe, jedną współczesną i jedną z XIX w. Szkocji, które przeplatając się ze sobą tworzą kompleksową fabułę. Czasem Rose czyta tłumaczone fragmenty pamietnika swojej krewnej, żebyśmy zaraz potem mogli zobaczyć opisywane wydarzenia i ich następstwa w 1850. Książka ogólnie jest przykra, bo opisuje niesprawiedliwość, wykorzystywanie pozycji władzy do gnębienia innych, nieszczęścia "postępu" i anglicyzacji.

A quick fee audio listen. Clean read except for an F-bomb at the end, nothing exciting but enjoyable

Audiobook I like historical fiction, so I enjoyed a glimpse of Scotland in the 1850's. It was a good listen, although nothing spectacular.
