Time matters very little when you're dead. I discovered this intriguing fact after being tortured and stabbed to a tree in the strange land of Meric, a place where I discovered my unbelievable powers and experienced an adventure far more amazing than I could have ever imagined.

Now that I'm dead, I find myself stuck in my past, 1991 to be exact… or am I actually dead? Perhaps my adventure to Meric had just been a dream. My unbelievable destiny, all of the friends I made, and even Shaw, the man I fell in love with… just a dream?

Resurrection is the second book in the Future Savior series by Jennifer Hartz.
I really enjoyed book one, so, after the immense kindness of the author, who helped me a lot with the launch of my blog, I decided to start book two, for following the adventures of Christina, Shaw, Jonus and so on. Moreover I was very curious about the following book because the ending of book one was really breathtaking!

In "Resurrection" Christina is forced to face the strongness of her powers and the responsabilities that she needs to take on. The second book is full of lovely events and it is more focused on the love, blossomed between Shaw and Christina. As always, there will be a shocking final twist at the end of the book, that will make you want to know more and start immediately book three. I do not want to write a summary of the book because I hadn't told much about the events in book one so, summarising book two would mean spoilering and spoilering would mean ruining the book. (:

Sincerely, I enjoyed more book one. Most of the ones who have read the series thought that book two was the best among the three but, in my opinion, book one was fuller of tension, suspense and, above all, it gave more room to the description of all the characters. I loved how the author developed the story between the two main characters but, personally, I would have loved to see more of the others, too. By the way, there was one character that was particulary interesting during the book and he was Prince Jonus, Prince of the Elfs. I've never felt attached to him because I could sense his jealousy toward Shaw and Christina so, I was not surprised of his betrayal in book two! In that part of the book I was very involved in the story and I think this is because the author used a fantastic tecnique to make the book more engaging: Christina's powers make her have some visions, about the past, the future, or the present; during the book, the routine of the plot was often positively stopped by Christina's visions, that inform the reader about everything was going on far from the protagonist, or they bring to the surface secrets of the past. It will be a vision, in fact, that will reveal Christina, the secret of Prince Jonus and this skill couldn't have been used more properly: the visions teleport the reader to the past, and in the mean time he/she is still anchored to the present, letting you the possibility to follow the events in different dimensions! Also the beginning of the book was really interesting from this point of view because past, present and future were intertwined and I really couldn't figure out in which temporal dimension were the characters!

The romantic progress in this book is noticeable and the love story is well-developped; Shaw and Christina finally together are adorable but, their relationship is not meant to live without complications! I personally love the soft romanticism of the author and the way she always introduces something to interfere with the utopia of a perfect love.
What I very missed in book two is the harshness and the warrior climate that was constantly present in the first book! Logically, there were battles and wars during the book but they were always seen from distance or through Christina's visions.
In the end I really liked "Resurrection" even if I prefer "Conception"; in book two we have the possibility to know more about the past and about the protagonist and her family. I really enjoyed that the author has dedicated some space to Rayliex, Leticia's son and a character that I personally love. As in City of Lost Souls, I feel extremely attached to the characters who seem to be devilish but they are only the victim of their parents' influence.
I really can't wait to read book three because the story is so full of twists and buried secrets, to be revealed in the following book.

Resurrections is a well written book, with a pinch of humor and romanticism, that will lead you through Christina's past present and future. Will she be
able to save Meric after all she faced during this book? Read to know!

Beginning immediately after Conception leaves us, this fantastical story continues with Christina realizing she died in Meric after being tortured and stabbed in front of everyone she loves. Powerful prophetess Charis saves her when she transports Christina back to 1991 and she wakes up to find...she’s seventeen again? Bewildered and confused, Christina knows that the younger Shaw is somewhere near— he is, after all, her Watcher. Along with Shaw's help, she races to find answers and figure out her way back to the place she now thinks of as home, Meric. Will she resurrect? Or was it all just some crazy dream?

Wow, this series just keeps getting better and better. I could barely concentrate on anything else because my mind kept wandering back to Meric! It’s a rarity when a story can truly transport your imagination to another place and this series certainly does that. What can I say? I’m officially hooked.

It’s hard to talk about this book without getting into any specifics— mainly because it’s a sequel. I definitely don’t want to give away any spoilers so I’ll just try and stick to the general things I loved about it. Resurrection was everything you could hope for in a sequel. It gave resolution to the cliffhanger at the end of book one, continued (if not increased) interest in the characters and setting, and kept everything you loved about book one prevalent! The character development was impressive— I felt as if I was getting to know Christina better with every page. I also loved all the exciting plot twists and turns that kept me turning the pages like a crazy person. Another one of the aspects of this book I particularly enjoyed was the Biblical mirrors scattered throughout the book. I had such fun recognizing the re-imaginings of Daniel in the Lion’s Den, Esther, King David and Bathsheba, and more! Of course, Resurrection ended with another cliffhanger, effectively making readers dying to get their hands on the next installment.

Resurrection was an amazing sequel to an amazing book. If you’re a fan of fantasy, action/adventure, romance, or speculative fiction you will LOVE this series. The Future Savior books are definitely some of my new favorites and I just can’t wait to read more and more about Christina, Shaw, and the magical land of Meric! Book three, here I come.

**I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are completely my own.

I loved the first book, and gave it a five star review, but this one is even better.
The second book, Resurrection, picks up right where the first book left off. It's hard to write a review without giving away spoilers to the first book, but I'll give it a try.

After dying, Christina awakens to discover she's seventeen. She struggles to fill in the pieces of what happened on Meric, and is immediately confronted with a dilemma: if you tell someone their future, do you risk altering by interfering with their choice?

Once again Christina finds herself whisked back into the land of Meric, into a body that is fully healed. She and her companions are confronted with this same dilemma, over and over as they fight the evil Leticia and her mounting forces. As prophesy unfolds, secrets of betrayal are revealed. The future of Meric rests in the balance of trust and timing.

This book has everything: time travel, flying, sword fights, giants, teleporting, telekinesis, mind control and did I mention that it's also a beautiful story of enduring love and friendship... and oh so romantic. I loved the play between all of the characters, but especially Christina and Shaw. In my review of the previous book I mentioned that Lord of the Rings readers and Narnia readers would love this series and this book drives that point home. It has all of the action of LOTR and all the allegory of Narnia, and dare I say a little more. The book isn't a comedy, though there are plenty of humorous moments, but there's an element to it that reminds me of the relationship between. The movie Oh Brother Where Are Thou and The Odyssey. If that's piqued your curiosity, then read it. You won't be disappointed.

This month I had two sequels that were tied for first place on my “Dying to read list” they were “Future Savior Series book two: Resurrection” by Jennifer Hartz and “Tributary” (River of time series) by Lisa Bergren! Well life got in the way, but when I finally got to read them boy, did my Kindle get a workout! Where, oh where do I even begin, Resurrection is incredible, I was overjoyed at being reunited with my beloved characters, yes I am beginning to feel that I know these characters, and due to the great talent of the author I feel like I have taken up residence in Meric and that I really do go on all the adventures with them! There are not words to describe Resurrection, it is out of this world!!! I didn't think it was possible but I loved this one even more than the first one! As with the first book in the series, I absolutely loved all the scenes that had Biblical parallels. Those scenes especially, really made me want to grab my Bible so that I could read about the real events!!! Amazing characters, gorgeous settings, breathtaking action and romance, what's not to love? It all built to a cliffhanger that literally left me whining “Jennifer, how could you leave me hanging like this”!!! Needless to say I CANNOT wait to read book three: Evacuation! I am so blessed to have the Future Savior Series in my life. Every time I read any part of them my day gets about 10 shades brighter! And I am so thrilled that I have so much of this series yet to discover! The Future Savior Series is definitely, without a doubt one of my all time favorite series!!! I can't wait to see what happens next. I was completely entwined and enthralled by Resurrection, read it , you will be too.

4.5 stars

I struggled with what to rate Resurrection - whether to give it 4, 4.5, or 5 stars - because I really enjoyed the whole book and, at times, loved the story. In the end I decided to go with 4.5 stars.

It was very interesting to see where Christina and Shaw's story went after that cliffhanger ending in the first book, Conception. Right away, I was drawn back into the story and the land of Meric. At one point in the story, I was like "No! This can't be happening" because something had happened that I did not like and I was hoping that it wasn't true (I won't say anything more about that because it will spoil it for other readers). :)

There were some passionate scenes in Resurrection (mostly just kissing) that, at times, I found to be a little much for me. I didn't like how some characters said "Oh G**" and other similar things - that is something I personally don't like in books.

Other than that, though, this was a great fantasy book that leaves me anticipating book three in this series, Evacuation, very much! I can hardly wait to find out what happens next! I recommend this book for mature readers that enjoy fantasy books.

*I received this book for free for my review. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.*

I had a hard time deciding on how many stars to give this book because 1 I loved the story and the concept , 2 I have a little trouble with a few words that I consider cursing 3 and there was a scene that was a little too much like reading a non Christian book, no it wasn't r rated material just a little more involved than what is normally included in a Christian book. I have decided on a 4 star rating for these reasons!

"Ressurection" is the second book in the ( (Future Savior Series) and it is as good as the first one "Conception" and picks up right where "Conception" ends. There were times while reading this story I was literally saying out loud "No Way that cannot be " and I had to go back and reread that section again. This book was hard to put down because I had to see how it ended, and the ending has me wanting book 3 " Evacuation".

This book uses Biblical stories in a way that I haven't seen used before, (like Daniel in the lion's den, no it isn't Daniel this time but if you know the Biblical account, you see the similarities.

If you like scifi and fantasy in a Christian novel then you will like this series! I recommend this series even you don't normally like scifi because I normally don't like scifi. The characters are people you can relate to and you might even find yourself wanting to interact with
Shaw and Christina and their friends!

This book has surprises all throughout it's pages and I'm sure there are more awaiting Book 3!

I was given an ebook copy by the author for my honest review!

Resurrection is the second installment of the Future Savior series. It starts off exactly where Conception ended. Much like Christina the reader is trying to figure out what really happened and if we will return to Meric sooner rather than later. Thankfully we don’t have to wait long before we return to Meric and Shaw, Christina’s watcher and true love.

However, returning to Meric does not stay joyous for long. War is ranging and secrets are being discovered at ever turn. Much like Conception, Resurrection is a quick read and it sets a pretty fast pace. It is an enjoyable read much like its predecessor and much like its predecessor it is also fairly predictable. They characters however, are still quite endearing and you cant help but worry for them and care for them.

In fact found myself yelling at Christina several times. Voicing my disapproval at the characters themselves is always a good sign. Its not a half hearted “Lord this girl is frustrating I just can’t stand them”, and being pulled for the story completely. It’s more of a, “Dammit Christina don’t listen to him keep hope alive!”

By the end of the story you can see where it is heading but knowing there is another book waiting to be read keeps me interested in seeing how things will turn out. Will Christina and Shaw get their happy ending? Or will the secrets and betrayals be too much for Christina to handle?

After finally discovering her powers and possibly her true love, Christina thought she was finally on the right track to possibly taking back Meric from Leticia. But after an ordeal with death she is transported back to her life in 1991, the day her father died. Forced to live through that day again in her teenage body, she realizes that her past is just as important as her future. And in book 2 of Jennifer Hartz's Future Savor series, Resurrection readers will see a miraculous one occur.

Revisiting her past left Christina with questions, but also answers about her powers. But throughout Resurrection she is met with many more questions, like who is Rayleix's father? Will they ever beat Leticia? And will Shaw and her survive the war for Meric? However, as Leticia and her forces advance into the northern Meric, Christina is forced to part with many of her friends as they go into battle. Forced to stay behind, she begins to search for these answers and for the book of Tor'Nock (said to hold the secrets to the creation of Meric). As she searches two of those answers become evident to the readers and an exciting battle begins for all of Meric.

Readers will be enticed to continue reading the Future Savor series because of the heart wrenching story line, that will leave you wanting more. Resurrection is preceded by Conception and followed by Evacuation and Desecration.

Usually I'm a bit worried about sequels when I enjoyed the first book so much, about whether they'll be as good or even anywhere close to as good. There's no worries about that with this book my fellow readers.

I started this book this book about four hours ago and haven't been able to stop reading. Every moment of the story keeps you hooked, desperate to know what happens next.

This book has a lot going on, with Christina getting stronger,

Have you ever started a book series that you just can't stop for anything....not even going to bed?
Well this is one of those series!
In this second book, Christina at first struggles with being dead in one reality and alive in another. She wants to get back to Meric to help the people there and she's starting to understand and accept her role in saving Meric. Then she is hit with some really hard events that make her again question her abilities. Shaw is there for her, but the fighting increases and things go bad. Her hope weavers but she presses on. The book ends with us wondering....why now......what's next?
I really loved how Jennifer Hartz uses Biblical stories and weaves them into this story. There's also a sweet sub-story told through visions Christina sees of Shaw's past.
There are so many emotions I experienced when I read this book .... joy, fear, laughter, sarrow, hope, surprise, love and frustration!
It truly captivated me...so much so that I found myself walking around all day trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I just couldn't put it down and my family thought I was a zombie because I didn't sleep much.
NOW I'm on to the next book in the series. What will happen in this one?? Huuummm We'll just have to see!

oh my gosh.. I am going to be so sleep deprived by the time I finish reading this series hahahaahahahaha.

Book two is even better than book one.. the twists and turns in the plot really had me on my toes.

Tears, laughter, and even thought about biting my nails but it's a nasty habit.

This series is so good!!!!!
I love the lead characters in this series, and have to admit to hoping something happens to the bad guy I've decided to not like at all. Sure hope he redeems himself in future books because my nerves are shot worrying about what he will do next.

I do not know why it has become a fad to have the love interest disappear during the second book of the series - Twilight, Hunger Games and now this book. Perhaps it is because absence makes the heart grow fonder. The development of the Elf prince has been very interesting. I find it interesting how the author had only good things to say about him - however I kept having the overwhelming urge to scream at Christina to not buy into it!
