James A. Moore was the award winning author of over forty novels, thrillers, dark fantasy and horror alike, including the critically acclaimed Fireworks, Under The Overtree, Blood Red, the Serenity Falls trilogy (featuring his recurring anti-hero, Jonathan Crowley) and his most recent novels, seven Forges, The Blasted Lands, City of Wonders , The Silent Army and the forthcoming The Gates of The Dead (Book Three in the Tides of War Series) and A Hell Within, co-authored with Charles R. Rutledge.
Even better than the first of the Subject Seven Series, RUN (book #2) is an awesome continuation of the story that has all the action and no need for the set-up and back-story; that although necessary, some readers had felt slowed book one down a bit. Mr. Moore continues RUN in the successful style of the original; switching between characters point of view with each short chapter change, allowing the reader to understand and relate to each character individually. And with all the gang back, Hunter Harrison (aka Bobby)/Joe Bronx (aka Subject Seven), Cody/Hank, Gene/Not-Gene, Tina/Not-Tina and Kyrie/Not-Kyrie and the scientist as well as some new supped-up players, there is a lot going on and all of it a thrill ride.
A gritty science fiction series with endless excitement, tons of aggressive fight scenes and an edgy superheroish twist. James Moore has definitely created a page turner with this sequel RUN and one not to be missed. But be sure to check out book one SUBJECT SEVEN first though, for it is necessary to the set up the series. Looking forward to the next installment!
This book was really good. I think it was better then the first book. By the way it ends it seems like there will be a third book and I will most likely read that too. I enjoyed this book.
An insane, but, incessantly remarkable conclusion to the course of this Jekyll-Hyde-type-of-context duology. Though, I wished I could give a 4.5 stars for the overall rating of this book if it wasn't because of the lower order of concerns (spacing, grammar, punctuation usage, etc.) that somehow resurfaced at many times with reading it.
But, since, a head start upon the book hooked me up with an average approval of being such a bad dose of badassery. I surely enjoyed the violent disposition of Seven's smirking outrage towards his creator, Evelyn Hope, who definitely rectified the sacrificial pit that confronted both the Failures and Successes. Still, it was extremely overwhelming.
I would like to have some justice that Moore should do another installment, hopefully, put an end on it as a trilogy if he clearly meant to have the "battle" was just beginning. I'd hate to disagree if that would happen, Mr. Moore. I rejoice the lunacy of the Others of both opposing forces that I truly misjudged the effort that Seven would do such a thing to be a strategic brute as his glorious fight with the odds can really gain a hideous victory.
Hunter Harrison/Bobby Hope as to Joe Bronx as opposed to Gabriel Hope as to Rafael.
Well, too bad because the moon didn't have a chance to shine at noon. That certainly dropped hell of a heaven to what made me anticipate until its ending part.
I had to say, all Failures are never to be likely underestimated as underdogs. They can also lead through tough situation and most of the time, they break things apart for their enemies in the line of fire.
A good habit of having to read this book was a cool part of dealing with the psychopath Hyde that's nearly possible in each and everyone of us.
P. S. How awesome Cody/Hank would be if he can be the second-in-command of Joe! I yearned about it happening, though.
The title of the novel is called Run. The author who wrote the story is James A. Moore. The book was published in January 2012. The genre of this novel is Teen fiction. James A. Moore has been nominated twice for the Bram Stoker Award. The story has 309 pages long. The story takes about 50 minutes to read a book. The main character of the story is Cody Laurel and the supporting characters are Hunter Harrison, Kyrie Merriwether, Gene Rothstein, Joe Bronx, Evelyn Hope, and Tina Carlotti. The story takes place in 6 years ago.
The setting of the beginning of the story is the five teenagers were on the car driving the road for a few several hours. The main protagonist of the story is Cody or AKA subject seven. The choices that Cody is going to do is to find the person named Evelyn Hope the person that created the others as well he want to get rid Joe Bronx his other self. There is a battle between the failures and the Successes because Joe Bronx wants to make an army of failures to take over the world. The villains of the story are the Successes they want to destroy the failures that came before them. There are no other characters in the story.
The themes of the story that the author is trying to tell me is that to look inside yourself that who you really are. The Message was that there two sides there is one which is your normal being and the other is the dark being. The four kids had themselves and their alter ego is destroying them on the inside. They felt scared and angry but the only person to fix them is Evelyn hope the person who made them. Because the four kids have to fight and survive at the end of days.
My opinion of the story is great for their journey of the path is leading them to the fall of the world and rebuild it for the new world that is for them to live in peace or removing their alter egos to live in unknown world.
The book is recommend for young adults and teens to read the story and explored themselves.
Think I'd give this more of a four and a half. All the action and excitement that's lacking in the first book, it more than makes up for in this book. I'm kinda torn between the characters, and I kinda like it, how the story keeps my guessing at every turn. Loved it, and there'd better be a third book to this xD And did I mention how much I love the covers to these books??
The Failures have a plan (sort of). They also have a few problems. Tensions are rising within the group. They still aren't clear on what's going on. The place they're headed toward may or may not be a trap. And there's a second team following them and trying to bring them in. This second team is everything the Failures are--but better trained, better armed, and just as lethal.
I liked Subject Seven I loved RUN! I wasn't expecting it to be any better then Subject Seven but it was. I kinda don't like Joe to much, but I definitely will read the third book if there is one which I hope there will be. It had some unexpected surprises in it that I loved.
It was ok, though I wish it was just a two book series. I sort of wished that this book ended it and everything got resolved. Just one of those books where it doesn't really need to continue on. Oh well, that's just my opinion.
I was lost in the beginning cause it was the first one read lol oops right. I liked how it ended I cant wait to read more of your books when I find more.

Run was a pretty good book it gives enough information that you aren't flipping back to the first book to figure out what's going and the characters developed more
