There is a lot to do. There is a lot to do at home or at work. Sometimes it just feels overwhelming. Don't you wish you could be more productive?
The Special Forces Green Berets are known as masters at getting things done. By normal standards, some of their missions would be deemed impossible. Often times they are expected to operate far behind enemy lines with limited resources. Their training gives them principles and techniques in being extremely effective and doing more with less. By using some of their principles you will be able
- Plan and use your time more effectively - Increase your confidence - Reduce distractions - Train for success - Improve commitment - and much more
Michael Martel uses his real experiences as a Green Beret to illustrate how you can use these techniques in your life to "get er done." It is a great, interesting read that will make you much more effective in your daily activities.
A perfect book for the non-reader who needs and must become one in our present day Conceptual Age, where knowledge & learning are crucial keystones. It's very short, and the concepts & principles which Mr. Martel discusses are straightforward and not difficult to apply to one's day to day life.
The book is 3 1/2 to 4 stars -- lean towards the higher since, even having read about 150 books ( counting audio listening; not re-reads ) in just over four years, there are STILL new concepts in here that I'd not come across.
A good gift to get someone into the reading habit = success = significance = sacrifice ( the staircase of motivation )
I picked this up as a PowerRead freebie for Kindle. Really fast read - just 10 short chapters. If you need some tips on planning skills, help with strategy, etc. because you are unfamiliar, then this is an easy read to help. If you've read a lot of books on those topics, already, then it is a simplified reminder.
Super quick read, about two hours or less. Good quick principles, nothing earth shattering as far as new ideas or material. Didn't seem to flow well between his experience and the 'real life' applicability. Reminded me of techniques I already knew but need to reinstate.
In an abridged yet creative way, Get Eric Done is a book that tells you how to do just that...get things done. This book is a quick read at 90 pages and took me only 2 hours to review. It is practical, engaging, and was a great refresher in goal-setting. Good stuff!
Short but powerful. Excellent examples provided from the Special Forces for each of the topics. I've learned several things to apply to areas of my life right now.
