Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
We used this guide to help us plan our first visit to Laos. The hotel guide was spot on and we felt the description was really accurate. We had two days in Luang Prabang and had managed to plan a great itinerary using the suggestions in the guide book. We are returning to Laos again and have used the guide to help us plan a week driving from Luang Prabang to Ventiane.
Poor travel advice for mid-budget travel. In comparison le Routard French guidebook is so much more accurate, including details of transports once landed in a foreign country, also great recommendations of mid- budget accommodations and eateries as LP lists either bottom or high end prices. But I am lucky, I am dual French & British!
[2011.12.14] Used 2010 7th Edition to plan the Laos portion of our Nov-Dec 2011 trip (approx 8 days). Sections used: Northern Laos, Vientiane and Around. Good info.
