I went with 4 stars since i loved the writing and the main character was sweet, but I didn't like the sex in this at all so it kinda ruined some of the story for me.

I also wish the two MC's were actually together more in the story. We know nothing about (rodeo guy, forgot name already) they had one date and didn’t really talk about anything and were in love

Nice to see a longer story from this author. Good to have a build-up of Trinity Blake, the main character, showing how he grew up, got brought out, then thrown out and ended up in Austin, dancing in a gay bar as a sort of go-go boy. He was a likeable sort and his developing, non-sexual relationship with his buddy Joey was fun to read. His encounter with Charlie Stover, the rodeo rider, was very hot and I liked the way it developed. Trinity's trip to the senator's house was strange, but very sexy, especially with the menacing guy, Harris, looming in the background.

Don't want to say too much, but the suspense surrounding Trinity and his nemesis Jason was great, especially out in the desert.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the next in my e-book stack.

I really recommend it to readers of M/M romance. Very sweet love story with lots of intrigue and humor thrown in.

The story had this fairy tale atmosphere. Trinity was really sweet, Innocent, naive guy. I liked him from the start and really felt protective toward him. The plot was easy and enjoyable, and the end, was just great...nice! I wouldn't mind reading more about this couple!

The blurb made this book sound way more intense than what it really was.

Trinity, the MC, is an incredibly naive young man forced to flee his small hometown when his boss (who seduced him) ratted him out.

He manages to find work dancing in a gay club and he meets his cowboy hero. He then gets threatened when he's accused of blackmailing a politician and once again, if forced to flee (hence, the title).

This is where the book fell apart for me. This book isn't about a road trip. Not even close. In fact, the book starts off on the road, but the majority of the book is about his life and how he ended up on the road to El Paso. When we get to that part, well then the book is quickly wrapped up. He never made it to El Paso. A little disappointed.

This was a sweet story with a sweet protagonist. I do wish it had been longer so we could see the relationship develop.

Once again. I found a book by this author outside the miles diamon detective genre to be boring.
