“Blending into the crowd is one of our most sacred secrets.” A good cult thriller keeps you questioning everyone, and Three Rings did not disappoint, gifting surprises up to the very end. The main character, Adam, centers and grounds the fast paced suspense from a father’s perspective after losing his son to a brutal murder- capturing the doubts, emotions, and questions any parent would be tempted to ask or escape into- alcoholism, retribution, grief, anger- and the examination of the growing distance with his own father. The novel not only asks “how far would you go for justice for your child?”, but “would you invest the same energy to protect and prevent anyone else’s child from becoming a victim?”- even if it was at the cost of tearing your own family apart? Satisfying from start to finish, the book will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. And did I mention- it opens itself up to a sequel? A must read for suspense/thriller fans.
