This was a good book, but I felt like the ending left me with a lot of questions. Maybe there's a part 2.

Just ok. Seemed to end abruptly. Most of the storylines didn't have a resolution. Not interested in book 2.

A Change Within

Gem, Carlson and Shaw is not only an all female law firm, but it's an all black law firm. Now in their third year of business, the women are semi-successful despite the personal adversity each individual is facing.

Crystal Gem is in a mental rut. She's single, no kids and yearning for something or someone solid in her life. She's always about business and very detail oriented. Due to an incident in her past, she and her mother haven't had the best of relationships. Will Crystal finally forget about her past?

Susan Carlson is denying that she has a problem. Although she's single, she has a friend who is very dear to her, yet they seem to be at a stalemate. An obsessive, overachiever who tends to share her opinions, will Susan be able to admit that there is actually a problem?

Elsie Shaw has a secret. Not that she's ashamed, but it's no one else's business. She's very laid back and a hand holder which is great in business, but she's seeing in her personal life it's not at all possible. Can Elsie finally make the right decision?

Jewel, the assistant, is a single mom looking for a good man. You know the one who doesn't care who or where her baby daddy is because he's going to handle all that. Well luckily, King, Jewel's sons' father is a worthy dad, but their relationship soured long ago, or has it?

Sister Girls is just an okay read. No real frills or thrills to boast about just run of the mill. Like other reviewers, I would suggest this as a library book. If I may, I suggest Urban Books utilize their time really editing the books they are putting out. We already have enough so called publishing companies dropping the ball.

More like a 2.5 on the rating meter

Friends Bonding

Four women working in Corporate America appear to have everything going for them. It's their personal lives where they struggle dealing with betrayal, deceit and lies.

Crystal is a partner in a law firm. She keeps having recurring dreams that will not allow her to have a satisfying relationship. She finds herself liking another attorney in the same building that she works in. He's everything that she's always wanted in a man, however, there is only one thing that's holding her back from him, he's someone else's husband already. Can Crystal resist the urges she's having?

Susan is a partner in a law firm. Beautiful, intelligent and successful, Susan possesses a couple of secrets. She's in love with and missing her best friend. She's keeping another monstrous secret that can potentially ruin her. This private affair is wreaking havoc on everyone at work. How much longer can Susan contain her retreat before she jeopardizes too much?

Elsie is a partner in a law firm. She's quiet, laid back and mostly keeps to herself and doesn't mingle with her co-workers, unless it's unavoidable. Although she isn't ashamed of what she is, she's concealed her life. There is an offer on the table and fear from her past has her second guessing her steps. Can Elsie get beyond her past or will too many obstacles block her path?

Jewell is an administrative assistant and a working single parent, who is also a student. While trying to balance her three bosses is a challenge, Jewell is still able to manage. Single and looking, Jewell has found a nice guy; he's just a little different from the types of guys she's dated. Will her son's father create a problem?

Sister Girls is a decent and easy read.

I really enjoyed the Sister Girls. These women have built a real bond. They remind me of my own group of friends. They are all successful. On the outside they look like they have it all together. But in the inside they have their own struggles. Now my friends may not have the same type of struggles that these ladies have but each one of them tugged at my heart.

This was a good read from the beginning to the end. I was excited to start part 2. I think the Sister Girls is a book that any real women can relate too.

I really liked this book.It was about four women who worked together at an all-female law firm- Crystal, Elsie, Susan, and Jewell. Each of them are going through some major problems. Together they work to help each other and keep their law firm going strong.

The book really opens your eyes to the meaning of true freindship, honesty, trust, and many other qualities of life.

I honestly didn't even think that I would enjoy this book when I first began but it was really good from start to finish. You're able to see the friendship of the women evolve and how they grow as independent woman as well. We see the blossoming of new and old relationship, as well as some of them fighting their own demons. It was a great read and I'd recommend this book to others!

So far it started off a little slow to me but now its starting to pick up a bit and the characters has started to get a little more deep. I love the fact that it's about 3 black ladies who are atty's.

Sister Girls is Crazy! its a good book but also there are so many characters that you have to keep up with who is who and who is with who. but other than that the book is really good.
