I really liked this book - it's much more than just a cookbook. If it just consisted of the recipes I probably would only give it 2 stars, but I it gets 4 because the first half is all about how to introduce solids, feeding tips, shopping tips, preparation tips - all sorts of useful information. Then, the recipe portion is compiled like a workbook, there are spaces to take notes about each food, when you introduced it, if baby likes it, etc. Also, along with each food there are suggestions for variations, different spices you can add and different foods that are good to combine it with. Also, the recipes are super easy & make a lot of food in a minimal amount of time. I'm definitely glad I have this kit (the food trays are nice, although I'm sure ice cube trays would work just as well) - I think Owen is also!

I'm giving this book only 3 stars because it only tells you how to cook the food in the microwave and I just don't think that's the best nutritional way to make baby food so thankfully I have another book "First Meals" to go along with it. I do like how this book tells you all the different combinations you can make with each type of food and what month those combinations are acceptable for the baby to be eating.
