Accidentally started this book while waiting for a doctor’s appointment. A fascinating discovery. How Coco Chanel invented new styles based on her personal life and requirements. And also how the World Wars were intertwined with fashion too.

I picked this stunning book up at Shakespeare and Company in Paris on a trip last year. Coco Chanel’s independence and determination to carve out her place in the fashion world are truly inspiring. Wonderful read.

A nice book to dip in and out of. Destined for a place in the downstairs loo.
