Roy and Silo were always together - swimming, eating, grooming - but they were both boys.
"And in the penguin house there are penguin families...Two penguins were a little bit different."
They made a nest together like the other penguins and...
"Roy and Silo had no egg to sit on and keep warm. They had no baby chick to feed and cuddle and warm."
So Roy finds a rock that looks a lot like the eggs that the other penguin couples had and the two of them take turns sitting.
"Their nest was nice but it was a little empty."

And every morning Roy and Silo woke up together. But one day Roy and Silo saw that the other couples could do something they could not.
Roy and Silo had no egg to sit on and keep warm.
They had no baby chick to feed and cuddle and love.
Their nest was nice, but it was a little empty.
