This is a short book of very deep puritan prayers. It ends with one of my favorite prayers, The Valley of Vision, which was used as the title of Edward Bennett’s collection of personal favorites.

These Puritan prayers cause you to search your soul to find the sins and selfishness that are hidden there. These prayers also cause you to look up to God who is far above our sins. These prayers exalt Jesus as the only true savior and as the source of all forgiveness and holiness.

I recommend reading each prayer then praying the prayer, adding details of your life and needs, confessing your sins and selfishness. The prayers have the thees and thous like the King James Bible. I read them as they are and then in praying through them I changed them to modern usage.

I should note that all of these prayers are included in the much larger book “The Valley of Vision”.

The e-book I have is titled "Puritan Prayers". It contains 23 written prayers, which I understand is far fewer than "The Valley of Vision".

Great prayers with the right perspective.

A wonderful resource when you are grasping to pray. An old book that never is out of date. A valuable asset.
