HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO SAVE THOUSANDS OF LIVES? WOULD YOU BREAK THE LAW? LIE, CHEAT, STEAL? WOULD YOU KILL? After an event that shattered his world, David O’Neal courageously sets out to rebuild his life as a speech writer for Barringston Relief’s wealthy and powerful founder–a man committed to bringing food, medicine, and help to thousands around the world. A man capable of great compassion…and tremendous fury. Then suddenly, David realizes AJ Barringston is much more dangerous than he appears.

DO THE ENDS EVER JUSTIFY THE MEANS? A blanket of peace has settled on much of the world, yet many regions are still bathed in violence and pain. In Somalia, East Africa, a warlord named Mahli and his followers are about to implement a plan that is as insidious as it is deadly–unless they are stopped by Barringston, who is willing to pay the ultimate price.

Pressed by the FBI and CIA to provide evidence of Barringston’s illegal activity, David O’Neal finds himself in a maelstrom of danger and intrigue in this story about one man who will stop at nothing–not even violence–to reach his goal…and another who must decide if wrong can ever be right.

I really liked this book - one of two in a series. The verse about Jesus say the poor will always be amoung us helped me to realize that whatever we do to help those in need is serving Him, and there will always be needs - as long as we're here on earth. Not that that is a comfort, but just the knowledge makes me realize I can do something, however small.

Not a bad story - a few surprises, especially the ending.

David O'Neal's world has shattered and not he is trying to rebuilding his life by becoming a speech writer for Barringston Relief's wealthy & powerful founder. There he meets many new people and has his eyes opened to the many needs in third world countries. He is approached by the FBI & CIA to help them see is Barringston is involved in illegal activity. Will he help them? or will he be loyal to Barringston? Is there illegal activity? Will the needs of the needy be met?

An exciting read. There is some killing that occurs. Would have liked more of a reliance on God but he does come back to God.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is Christian fiction at its finest. There is plenty of action, light romance, mystery and suspense.
