For use in schools and libraries only. First popularized in Japan, international celebrity Domo makes his English language manga debut. In these stories, Domo wreaks havoc on his friend's Wii, wins a box car race by being the car, and decides to morph into whatever he sees on TV.
things i learned: if you are a giant brown monster with a lot of energy and poor impulse control and permafists for hands, the following things are a danger: imitating things seen on teevee, trying to help others without a full awareness of what they need, and a sense of What Is Danger, anything involving a soapbox derby or giant, ass-kicking beetles, video games involving excessive animated arm gestures, cell phones, and love. if you are this monster, use caution.
**oh my god - i just found christmas lights shaped like domo. my life is awesome.
I only read it cause I needed a very light read while I couldn't sleep one night. Art is really cute. Stories are short and just eh. Little kids will probably like it though. I grew up liking domo but never knew there was a domo comic (it doesn't read like a manga). I stumbled upon it while on Libby, so I decided why not check it out as an adult. I thought Domo was this cute little nice guy, but he's a jerk in the comic and everyone just allows him to be a jerk. It's weird and definitely will not teach your kid about consequences.
Domo is a lil guy (kid?) who unintentionally causes chaos and destruction wherever he goes; but his heart is in the right place, so the people around him easily forgive him.
This comic (I wouldn't call it a manga) is fine. I don't have any strong feelings towards it, neither good nor bad.
this made me smile. i enjoy the colorful illustrations. never read from BC before. i am reading it through local library leaning program ... so it is a ebrowser book ... fun read. not my normal.
If you area true Domo lover, how can you not enjoy this cute Manga? A fast read, and every page full of colour and easy on the eye. I can't see a reason why you would not introduce this book to children for them to read and enjoy. Domo continuously causes some form of trouble or chaos, but it makes him all the more lovable as his intentions are always good, regardless of the result. :]
OMGOSH It was so stupid...! And hilarious at the same time! XD What did I learn from this...well, now I really want to play whatever game Tashanna was playing on page 81......
What is Domo? A dirty bar of soap? A piece of devil's food cake? Whatever he is, these comics are cute and full of action, although I can't say I really liked the training of beetles for battle.
