Having been to the Jim Thompson house numerous times in Bangkok I was expecting a little more, the food is lovely. The recipes in the book are accurate but VERY minimal directions as to actually cooking them. I think you need to be familiar with how Thai food is made, the process before attempting these.

The book is very well written and gives a good but brief formation about Jim Thompson's life in Thailand. The recipes aren't very easy though!
